CGMC desires
to provide the highest value services it can for the lowest fee possible. We are not in the business to make money. We are in the business to help ministries become as efficient and effective as possible, to become the absolute best stewards of the resources that they have.
Two things often keep consultants from working significantly with non-profits: Money & Culture. We at CGMC reduce or remove both of these obstacles. To remove the culture obstacle means that we align our culture to a large extent with our client’s culture. By this we mean that CGMC is geared towards efficiency, effectiveness, and optimizations while also having a passion, love, and desire to see the organization’s mission moved forward. That is why we have narrowed our focus to Evangelical Christian ministries, and why we hire, contract, and find volunteers who also align with that mission.
In regards to the money obstacle, we hire and contract with high-quality consultants who have agreed to reduce their salary requirements or rates to CGMC. This in turn allows CGMC to reduce the costs to ministries considerably compared to what these consultants would normally cost. Further, by raising money ourselves, we can reduce (or in some cases eliminate) the cost alltogether to ministries. Many for-profit consultants find themselves going into not-for-profit organizations, helping them with one or two relatively small projects, but not being able to dig deeper into additional areas where the organization needs help that they find while doing the initial projects. One of the biggest reasons is that not-for-profits simply do not have the funds to delve into additional projects with consultants. Our desire is to start high with organizations and dig into areas where we can help. If we find great opportunities to assist them with improvements, our goal is to be able to help them without money being an obstacle.
Our methodology includes follow-up with our clients to ensure that they are being held accountable to implement the changes that we agreed upon with them. If we simply end a project and move on, and good ideas are not carried forward, then little will have been gained in the long run.
