Seed Funding
As Cornerstone is a startup, we are looking for some major gifts to allow us to get up and running for the first years, which will then allow us time to continue to build out our network and raise the ongoing funding needed.
Within the startup funding, some of the more immediate needs are in the following areas:
- Insurance Costs – Cornerstone is committed to succeeding, and with that our President is paying for many costs out of pocket. It is the board’s desire to reduce his out of pocket costs as quickly as possible. With this in mind, one of the first initiatives will be to acquire insurance for him and other staff.
- Start-up Costs – There are many legal, setup, researching, and networking costs. Currently those are being funded by Cornerstone individuals themselves, and Cornerstone would like to bring that cost inside the ministry as soon as possible.
- Client Consulting – Cornerstone has clients that have immediate needs. In the coming months we are committed to assisting those ministries. While we would like to have all of our consultants on board immediately, we believe so much in the process and ministry we want to be doing both the ministry and fundraising simultaneously.
We see the seed funding coming from one or both of the following sources:
- Larger One-Time Gifts from Supporters
- Foundation Grant(s)
